Many of our orders begin long before anything is sewn.
A customer sends us a message.
Sometimes they know exactly what they need.
Sometimes they send measurements, photographs and a rough idea.
And sometimes the message is simply:
“I have this window. What would you recommend?”
That is completely normal.
You do not need to understand curtain fullness, fabric widths, rod placement, lining lengths or every possible hanging method before contacting us.
This is part of what we help with.
We look at the information you provide, ask questions when necessary and help translate your room, measurements and ideas into something that can actually be made.
Because there is often more than one possible solution.
And the best one is not always the most obvious one.
Custom Means More Than Choosing Your Measurements
When we say that a piece is custom-made, we mean that it is made specifically for your project.
Depending on the product, this may involve adjusting:

Two customers can send us exactly the same window measurements and still need completely different curtains.

This is why measurements alone do not always tell the whole story.

We Help You Make Decisions Before We Cut the Fabric
One of the most important parts of custom work happens before production begins.
Once linen has been cut and a custom piece is made to your measurements, many decisions cannot simply be reversed.
That is why we prefer to clarify uncertainties before sewing.
If something does not seem practical, we will tell you.
If there are two possible solutions, we will explain the difference.
If a particular fabric, construction or proportion may behave differently from what you expect, we would rather discuss that before the order is made.
Our role is not only to produce what is written in an order form.
It is also to use our experience with linen to help you understand what will work.
Linen Has Its Own Character
Working with natural linen is very different from working with a perfectly uniform synthetic material.
Linen moves.
It softens.
It responds to humidity.
It wrinkles.
Its drape changes slightly depending on the fabric weight, width and dimensions of the finished piece.

Some Projects Need More Thought Than Others
A standard pair of curtains may be relatively straightforward.
A very wide shower curtain, an unusually high window, a linen canopy for a four-poster bed or a multi-layer curtain system may require considerably more planning.
For these projects, we sometimes work through several options before reaching the final solution.
For example, an extra-wide curtain may need to be divided into multiple panels because of the maximum available fabric width.
A shower curtain may need a separate waterproof liner with a different finished length from the outer linen curtain.
A canopy shawl may require additional fabric not simply to reach from one side of the bed to the other, but also to create the desired drape and movement.

We May Recommend Ordering Samples First
Choosing linen online is not always easy.
Screens display colours differently, and natural linen often contains subtle tones that are difficult to capture perfectly in photographs.
The texture and transparency of the fabric are also easier to understand when you can hold it in your hands.
For larger projects, or when you are deciding between several similar shades, ordering fabric samples first can be a very good idea.
It allows you to see the linen in your own room, under your own light, next to your walls, furniture and flooring.
That small step can make a much larger custom order easier to feel confident about.
Then Your Piece Is Made for You
Once the details are confirmed, production begins.
Our pieces are made to order rather than taken from a warehouse shelf.
In most cases, production takes approximately 3-10 business days, although larger or more complex projects may require additional time.
The linen is cut according to the confirmed measurements, sewn and finished specifically for your order.
For us, made to order is not simply a production method.
It is also a way to avoid creating unnecessary inventory and to make pieces with a clear destination from the beginning.
Someone has already imagined where they will hang.

There is no complicated consultation system.

Send your measurements.
Send photographs if they help.
Tell us what you are trying to achieve.
If something important is missing, we will ask.
Most enquiries are answered within 24-48 hours.
Sometimes the answer will be very simple.
Sometimes we will recommend a different size, construction or fabric option.
And sometimes we may tell you that what you are asking for is technically possible, but that we would not recommend it.
That is also part of the service.
We want the finished piece to make sense in your home - not only on paper.
