Start here: choose your curtain type

Blackout blocks more light; semi-sheer filters daylight for an airy look.
Semi-sheer linen fabric densities (optional, but helpful)

175 g/m² = lighter, smoother look. 190 g/m² = denser, more textured, cozier feel.
What you’ll need
• Measuring tape
• Step stool (if needed)
• Notes app / paper
• 1–2 photos of your setup (rod/track + where it sits above the window) (optional, but very helpful)
➊ How to measure your window (quick start)
Width
• Measure the width of your curtain rod or track (end to end).
Semi-sheer linen:
-
Standard look: 1.8–2.0× rod width
-
Full & luxurious: 2.2–2.5× rod width
Blackout (linen + lining):
-
Standard look: 2.0× rod width
-
Fuller look: 2.2–2.3× rod width (often helps reduce light gaps)
• If you want two panels, divide the total finished width by 2 to get the width of each panel.
Example: Rod width 200 cm
Semi-sheer (2.0×) → total finished width 400 cm → 2 panels = 200 cm each
Length
• Measure from your preferred hanging point (depends on your hardware and heading style) down to where you want the curtain to end:
– slightly above the floor
– touching the floor
– pooling softly (+0–24 cm / 0–10")
• Keep in mind: curtain height can vary depending on the hanging style and how it’s mounted.
Measuring diagrams (quick visual guide)

Multiply rod/track width by your desired fullness. For 2 panels, divide total finished width by 2.

Choose your hanging style before measuring length — it can affect your finished curtain length.

Multifunctional tape supports several hanging methods. Hooks/rings are not included.
Important note for blackout curtains
Blackout curtains (linen + blackout lining) are available only with:
9) Multifunctional Curtain Tape.
Other hanging styles are not available for blackout.
➋ Curtain length: how to measure by hanging style (You measure vs. We measure)
Below is the key difference between what you measure at home and how we define the curtain height in production.
This is important, because some styles include hanging elements (tabs, pockets, tape), while others do not.
1) Tie Tops
You measure: from the bottom of the rod to the desired curtain bottom.
We measure: the linen body only, excluding the ties (~40 cm / 16").
Note: final hanging height may vary depending on how tightly you tie the ribbons.
2) Buttonholes
You measure: from the top of the rod to the desired curtain bottom (excluding any hanging element height).
We measure: from the top of the fabric to the bottom edge.
Note: hanging height may vary depending on rod thickness and buttonhole position.
3) Simple Hem (for clips)
You measure: from the bottom edge of the clip to your desired curtain end.
We measure: full curtain height including hem (~5 cm / 2").
Note: hanging height may vary depending on clip design and placement.
4) Crowned Rod Pocket
You measure: from the top of the rod to your desired curtain bottom.
We measure: from the top of the rod pocket to the bottom edge (~6 cm / 2").
Note: the decorative crown (~4 cm / 1.5") above the rod is not included in the stated height and the curtain may sit slightly above the rod.
5) Rod Pocket (Simple)
You measure: from the top of the rod to the desired curtain end.
We measure: full height including the rod pocket (~6 cm / 2").
Note: when mounted, the curtain may rise slightly above the rod due to fabric placement.
6) Tabs
You measure: from the top of the rod to the desired curtain bottom (excluding tab height).
We measure: the curtain body only, tabs not included (~6 cm / 2").
Tip: if you need a different tab height, please specify it.
Example: 200 cm curtain body + 6 cm tabs = 206 cm total hanging height.
7) Grommets
You measure: from the top of the rod to your desired curtain bottom.
We measure: entire curtain height including grommet section (~6 cm / 2").
Note: grommets sit slightly above the rod when hung (see reference photos).
8.1 / 8.2 Tab Tops with Buttons
You measure: from the top of the buttoned tab (at rod level) to your desired curtain end.
We measure: the curtain body only, excluding the tabs (~6 cm / 2").
Note: tab tops may sit slightly above the rod. If you need a custom tab height, please confirm.
9) Multifunctional Curtain Tape
You measure: based on how you plan to hang (hooks / clips / rod pocket setup).
In most cases, we recommend measuring from the top of the rod to your desired curtain bottom.
We measure: curtain height including the multifunctional tape (~6 cm / 2").
Tip: it’s better to order curtains slightly longer — they can always be shortened locally at low cost for a perfect custom fit.
Common mistakes
• Measuring the window instead of the rod/track width
• Measuring length from the ceiling, not from the actual hanging point
• Choosing hanging style after measuring length
• Forgetting to decide floor vs puddle
• Not accounting for 2 panels vs 1 panel
